⚠️ Notice to Neighbors: Butters has been an outdoor-exploring cat daily for an entire year and always returns home within 4–8 hours. Because he has been gone 5 days, he is likely accidentally trapped inside a nearby garage, shed, crawlspace, or backyard structure, or was taken in by a kind neighbor thinking he was a stray.

🔍 How Neighbors Can Help Right Now
- Check closed spaces: Please look inside your garage, tool sheds, crawl spaces, under decks, garbage bins, or under parked trailers/boats.
- Listen closely: Trapped cats often stay quiet until they hear someone right outside. Knock on shed doors and pause to listen for faint meows or scratching.
- Review outdoor cameras: If you have a Ring, Nest, or security camera facing your yard or driveway around SE 261st Pl, SE 260th, or 132nd Ave SE, please check footage from Monday Oct 12 onwards.
- If you took him in: We love him dearly and are desperate for his safe return! Any local vet or Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) can scan his microchip for free. No questions asked.
- Do not chase: If you spot him, please snap a photo, keep your distance so he doesn't bolt, and call or text us immediately with the location.
